Journal- Kanyini
- The man talking in the documentary was comparing the commandments or preachings from the Bible to the stuff the invaders were actually doing.
- The taking away of the children was emphasised on a lot.
- He was describing the beauty of Aboriginal culture and living.
- He spoke of the things that were most important to him like his family, culture and land.
- He spoke of what they and their families faced after they were separated.
- Also the difference in opinions of the Aboriginal people and the Europeans.
Black and white film was used as maybe the picture was really old/ to give it the old feeling that this happened many years ago. Giving it the old feeling was to impact the viewer more and to show that these things began happening many years ago.
Bob Randall is a famous Aboriginal activist and is part of the stolen generation. He was interviewed as he being a part of the stolen generation would say exactly what was happening from a victims point of view.
Being in Bob Randall’s place and being a witness to the injustices that happened would make me feel really upset and angry toward what has been done to the Aboriginal people.

Journal Entry #9
1. My contribution to the group has been a big one, as I got the group to get going with their work. Also I was the one who put all the information into one as the preamble. My work ethic is to work to maximum output and quality.
2. My strengths were that I can easily put information together even though it may be scattered. My weakness was that I took too long to get started.
Journal entry #8
1. I am responsible for putting together mine and my group members research.
2. The supplementary material I am using to back up my research are videos from You Tube, material from books, and online statements from Indigenous people
Journal Entry #4
1. The significant event in indigenous history this week is the apology being made by our Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, for the injustices done to those of the stolen generation.
2. This may be used as supplementary material by using the actual video or by using quotes to prove points/mistakes made.
3. My aim for this lesson is to work on my preamble and Aboriginal history.
Journal Entry 3
1. My frustrations are that there is lack of group work, and every group member is doing tasks of their own.
2. I will deal with these frustrations by talking to my group members and making them do their work.
3. I need to get the team members working as a group.
Journal Entry #6
1. I am not satisfied with my group progress so far because no one is organized and there is no “group co-operation”.
2. Most of the group has just begun to do their work as they have realised how short of time they are. for the past 2 weeks nothing much has been done by most of the people.
